The Gram Premier League (GPL) is a revolutionary rural cricket initiative launched under the banner of Rashtra Vikas Kendra, dedicated to empowering village youth through the spirit of sports. Our mission is to bring professional-level sporting exposure to the grassroots level by organizing structured cricket tournaments starting from each Gram Panchayat (GP).
In this unique format, each GP can form only one team. These teams compete at the Block level, from which 4 top teams advance to the District level. Finally, 1 team from each district represents at the State level. Every selected player receives an annual package, encouraging youth participation, skill development, and livelihood support through sports.
We are proud to begin our journey in West Bengal, starting from Malda, with a vision to expand GPL across every corner of India.

Known for his visionary leadership and deep connection with rural communities, Mr. Rahaman has always championed opportunities for youth empowerment, rural transformation, and talent recognition.
